October..

and so...
it's october..

after the hectic month of september with all the busy social activities, tis month.. i'm gonna fade into the background of the picture, not appearing at all for any parties or outings.. (except badminton!!).. cos: I DINT DO ANY OF MY ASSIGNMENTS LAST HOLS!!
guilty guilty guilty..

n there's a thermo test coming up next week.. been fishing the whole semester for the Tues 8am lectures!! cant blame me though, we've 2 assignments due every fornightly on Tuesdays!!! i've got 2 thermo textbooks awaiting for me in my bookshelf.. collecting dust for a month or so liao, especially since one of them is borrowed from uni.. ahaha. hope no demerits yet..

kies.. update of current life..
Just ended my well-spent Two weeks hols..! since the beginning of hols I went to Aldinga Beach with Kerrie and her church.. met quite a few Mirians and Sarawakians there!! A nice outing to the beach, though i still love miri beach more.. fonder memories.. n yeah, through tis trip, i understand the differences in different religion.. and i wont go into details on this.. just tat i;m stil a dedicated Buddhist! come to think of it, i've skipped temple for a month already!! oh no!!! The beach was nice, especially as we drive along the coast on our trip bk to the city.. we went to Halett Cove, damn pretty the scenery at mid-hill.. the seawater sparkling from the horizon! and the large luxurious houses and the curvy roads!! reminded me of the trip my bro brought us there with my family.. sigh~ miss family!! bought Aunty Joan's Toffees.. saw these in Royal Adelaide Show and was regretting for not buying it durign the Show.. so yeah.. the toffees are now in my cupboard waiting to be sent bk to Msia!!

Oops. i think i forgot to mention tat i went to Royal Adelaide Show in early Sept in my last post? The show was fun, we enjoyed watching the pig racing and pig diving at first class seats (I was sitting just in front of the starting race point for the pigs! ) I reli appreciate Yee Jia's companion to the Show, otherwise I might just as well postponed my visit to next yr.. n not to forget, my ticket sponsor --> Kerrie!!! ahahahaha!! she has free entry tickets since she's working there.. hmm.. ppl told me they spent like 100 bucks or so during the show, but my money is spent only on the dagwood dogs -hot dogs wrapped in bread and a ghost ride trip wic is not scary at all until the last part where suddenly a real live person screamed right next to me when we have just lowered down our guards and thinking it was all just a kid's ride.. lol! but i think the most fun part of the day was when i wanted to play Prison Break - a maze where there are real live humans in it and they will just come and scare u suddenly. We have to go in in a single file and inside it was blazing bright with mirrors and barristers to block our way! there were actually 3 of us initially, and i was too chicken to go in such a small group so ahehee.. luckily Colin and his gang was in the Show and joined us! funny to watch the leader to go in so brave and unafraid to be frightened the most and shivering as we walked through the path!! ps.. as usual.. the timid me was sandwiched between and just screamed for fun since i cn already watch the people in front of me scared to death!!! hahahahaa! paise paise.. and the night ended with beautiful fireworks!! pictures pictures>>

argh.. talked too much bout the RAS.. back to hols survival..
went to ZheWei house for in-house free karaoke with just me, yeeling, yeejia and vincent. totally fun with dessert with Yihlun and his frens till 2am!! no curfew here..tats y i'm drinking cincao dessert till 2am!! hee!! then during the Fri Dharma Class, we went for a dinner together since its hols! mmmm.. the Ba Shu Shan Zhuang food are ok, but the service really sucks! the waitresses are like so totally ignorant of us! we pay for the food also ler!! then theres a girl at our table interested in a cute waiter, so all of us quickly finsihed the rice and water to get him to serve us! but erh, everytime he came over, he never noticed the girl.. poor her!!

then sat whole day was spent monitoring and practising dancing XISHUASHUA and singing for the Annual Dinner Celebration of Zhu Lin Temple.. Yeejia and Ken did a good job, or I should say, everyone should be applauded for their hard work to a great performance! cos on Sunday night, they received cute response from the kids watching their drama! the older people are too busy eating food that they always menghiraukan the performance on stage... after 3 yrs. finally i cn sing and dance again on stage!! tadadada!!!

there's one week gone.. 2nd week. its the children camp.. mmm.. hmmmm... preparation wise.. i;ve got last minute dilemma cos i was too stressed with my assignments tat i wanted to pull out of the camp on the last night pre-camp.. haihz.. in the end, early in the morning i still went there.. cos .. must live life to the fullest! it isnt every year that i've got the chance to go to have fun with the kids from Sunday School! and it's a life experience too! but, i brought my laptop along to do "some homework" which i DId! in the first day only.. ahehe.. the other 2 days was busy playing mafia in the camp so i set aside my assignment temporarily~ the camp was actually quite a mess compared to the youth group :( sad to complain, but it did showed the dedication of the committee to create creative and fun activities as they've no experience and guidance in organising a children camp...

The activity I was in charge in was actually Dharma activity, so we did a presentation on the SiChuan Earthquake.. Huey Tyng did a great job sharing about the heroic stories during the eathquake, esp the part where a baby was saved by his mom who left a text message:

"Dear child, if you survive, please remember, Mom loves you forever"..

waaa!! when she read to that part, there were tears brimming in my eyes and i cn ear ppl sniffling at the back~ n there was I trying to control my feelings cause I'll b presenting after her!! It was very touching and I can only conclude that.. Love and compassion are what people Have and can Give to live on! the impermanence of life is inevitable, hence, we should appreciate every second we are breathing..

my part.. well.. i rather not mention.. cos what i only did was just to play a 15 min dvd on the stories of saving people during SC disaster wic everyone complained of being too short!! then. using my "romantic" voice, i read the conclusion.. wic was erh. again too fast reading.. I cant help it!! i've been practicing to read slowly.. but then.. it turned out to be a fast mumbling cos i was panicking!! a bit of short note here.. i was actually frustated a day before cos we are unable to use the projector as the centre did not provide the cable to connect laptop to the projector.. and we finally did get the cable, it turned out to be a black and white screen.. so initally my plan was to use a youtube video ('Light a candle in the dark'), but since it was totally unreadable and teh effect will be all lost, i changed my presentation to watching dvd, thank god that master jiewen lent me his dvd n i did bring it along with me to the camp!! we spent the first night watching the 50 mins dvd just to select the right part to play for the night.. aheheh!

so erm, after the presentation its letter writing time to their parens telling them i love you.. I love you papa, mama, gogo, singtze and my forever sis, huilan!! missya all!

to be continued. when i'm in the mood.. feeling nostalgic now.. aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa....
